24 Feb Data centre hosting or a lyntia data centre?
The evolution of connectivity and business in the short and medium term has led to Big Data being a crucial focus for IT managers when planning strategy with other company departments. Business model continuity, security, storage capacity, and connection speed — with low latency — are all benefits afforded by Big Data when hosted in data centres, and their relevance to business today is undeniable. Have you considered having your own lyntia data centre on-site?
In addition to the current hosting options, which include antenna towers and networks operating on central nodes, lyntia aims to contribute to corporate technological development and that of public administrations by offering data centres to those who wish to improve their connectivity and security.
From connectivity to data management: Cloud computing
Connectivity requirements have grown remarkably in recent years. Fibre optics continues to be the gold standard for satisfying practically all network services. However, data volumes that these services need to manage have increased exponentially since fibre optics was introduced, particularly in Spain where we are the fastest country in Europe to develop a home-service fibre optics network.
Process management in the cloud has made data centres necessary to guarantee uninterrupted service for users, as well as the appropriate security and cooling systems with the highest possible energy efficiencies. Data centres ensure neutral connectivity through redundant MMR connection spaces.
Today, connection speed and bandwidth are as important as the ability to manage information. This leads us to adopt the option of creating smaller or “edge” data centres.
To meet the need for secure, efficient data management, lyntia runs five data centres across Spain, located in Seville, Huelva, Jaén, Zaragoza and Alicante. All are equipped with the latest technology and built between 2019 and 2022. They occupy a variety of physical spaces that allow for infrastructure assembly, which means they must measure between 300 and 400 square metres, suitable for expansion when necessary.
Infrastructures in lyntia data centres
Geographical locations chosen for lyntia data centres allow them to be able to respond to practically any and all customer needs, with energy capacities ranging from 300 to 800 KW. The centres can supply alternating or direct current, and offer the option of one or two independent lines, guaranteeing maximum energy availability for your business, under any circumstance.
Alternate infrastructures can also be set up if desired, ranging from ‘U’ hosting to private rooms, different rack configurations, or even the option of having a private cage.
Value-added services. As additional services, in lyntia manages the installation of racks and elements inside data centres, temperature controls, and power supply tests, ensuring Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). Moreover, incident resolution and investigation of all anomalies fall into lyntia’s responsibilities in order to offer the most seamless service possible.
As a customer, cabling or patching in the rack or between several racks, cabling to the MMR, interconnection with third parties, and fibre optic channelling from outside the data centre to a specific point inside it are options that are available to you.
Lastly, remote hands services from lyntia are provided by advanced systems management professionals only.
Safety and energy efficiency. All lyntia data centres are protected with video surveillance, access control, anti-intrusion systems, and perimetre sensors together with fire-fighting installations that include real-time air monitoring, NOVEC1 extinguishers, and early warning systems. For maximum efficiency, refrigeration systems take advantage of outside temperature conditions for optimal energy management.
Companies interested in implementing or transferring their systems to more secure physical environments, and public administrations that must locate data management data centres closer to their range of operation, should evaluate lyntia data centres.
Our systems guarantee service provision to the highest standards. We hold a firm commitment to the physical and operative integrity of information, as well as social and environmental responsibility.
