Ethernet Connect

Ethernet Connect offers a layer 2 Ethernet virtual private network, connecting sites via point-to-point, point-multipoint or full mesh configurations. It is designed to provide both operator network access solutions and dedicated, high-performance, low-latency connectivity between customer locations.

Key features

Layer 2 Carrier Ethernet solution transported via MPLS network: secure connections with dedicated bandwidth, high performance, and low latency.

Protocol transparency, with multicast, IPv6 and Jumbo frames support.

MEF 3.0 Carrier Ethernet certification: Ethernet access services to operator network “Access E-line (EPL, EVPL)”. User Ethernet connectivity services “E-line (EPL, EVPL)”.

Guaranteed Service Level: Service Level Agreements for delivery time, availability, and network performance. 24/7 support managed through Lyntia’s NOC, with assistance in both Spanish and English.

Coverage: service provided via lyntia’s high-capacity MPLS network with more than 400  nodes across the Iberian Peninsula. Service available in Spain and Portugal.

Options

Service modalities: “Ethernet Line” (point-to-point), “Ethernet Hub&Spoke” (point-multipoint) and “Ethernet VPN” (fully mesh).

Multiple access technologies and connection speeds: Dedicated Ethernet over fibre, dedicated Ethernet over radio, and FTTH Ethernet access. Ethernet virtual circuits from 2 Mbps to 40 Gbps, depending on access type and location of customer’s site.

Service configuration: Port-based (one Ethernet virtual circuit per connection) or VLAN-based (multiple Ethernet virtual circuits per connection).

Redundancy solutions for point-multipoint connectivity with dual Hub: Dual active-active Ethernet virtual circuit for sites with dedicated Ethernet access. Dual active-passive Ethernet virtual circuit for sites with FTTH Ethernet access.

Benefits

Simplicity: ideal for data centres due to its compatibility with virtualised environments across different facilities.

Security: protected secure bandwidth between locations for running key applications.

Versatility: allows you to implement workplace virtualisation, server consolidation, real-time video and use of low-latency applications in Cloud services.

Control: gives you full control of IP networks, as well as exclusive control of network architecture and versioning, redirectioning and routing tables.

Development: facilitates the evolution of outdated private circuits, such as SDH, offering greater bandwidth and lower costs.
